Home allergy-friendly Grape Hemp Crunch Green Drink

Grape Hemp Crunch Green Drink

written by Head Health Nutter April 17, 2011

After our last two posts about real food (that is, naturally grown sans chemicals), I was inspired to make a delicious green drink using an ingredient I’ve never tried before: hemp! Check out this yummy, delicious and nutritious blended green meal recipe to help you cleanse this spring.

Hemp seed has a nutty taste and adds just the right amount of crunch to this green drink made mostly of green grapes. As a pleasant contrast, the avocado lends a smooth texture as well as a healthy fat for a satisfying meal in a glass.

Hmmm…does this taste more like veggies or more like fruits? I’m interested in trying smoothies (and I need to eat more veggies in general), but I do not like the taste!

Hi Dimitri, thanks for reading Live Lighter and for your question!

It’s definitely a green drink but the grapes do sweeten it a bit. You can always add a natural sweetener, like honey or maple syrup, until you get used to the taste (there’s usually a marked transition period for most people’s taste buds).

Hope you enjoy it and if you do, check out the other recipes on the blog: http://livelighter.org/119-cleansing-rescipes/

You are welcome! I heard that both grapes and apples add a natural sweetness (which is what I am looking for, as I don’t want to add any additional sweeteners). This is exactly why I liked this recipe! I will check out your other recipes!

Thank you
