Do It or Age Quickly Book Giveaway Contest

written by Head Health Nutter February 24, 2011

Did you catch last week’s book review on celebrity trainer JB Bern’s Do It or Age Quickly? If you did and you’re excited to try out some of JB’s 60 second practices for living healthier, stronger and longer, now’s your chance to win a copy of your own!

As I mentioned in the review, JB’s new book, Do It or Age Quickly, is ideal for both men and women who want simple, fast and effective methods for getting healthier and more balanced – and staying there. The practices he shares are based on Taoist traditions and philosophy, and the knowledge he imparts alone is worth the $19.95.

Of course, if you win this book giveaway contest, you won’t have to spend even that!

For those of you who didn’t catch the review and don’t have the time to read it, here are some highlights of what you’ll find in Do It or Age Quickly:

  • A system of 21 simple anti-aging techniques most people haven’t heard of before.
  • Eating routine that streamlines digestion and brings about effortless weight-loss.
  • Stretches and exercises (including some that strengthen kegel muscles for better sex!) that take only 60 seconds each.
  • Hair preservation for men.
  • Natural toothpaste that whitens teeth and doesn’t strip enamel.
  • Herbal tea that energizes and bolsters your immune system.
  • Facial creams superior to anything else currently on the market that heal and preserve skin.
  • Stress and fear-reducing methods.

Healthy new habit: actually washing my face!

Elaboration: I had terrible acne as a teen and went on Accutane, a strong but effective (& expensive) prescription. For about 10 years I had no pimples. My skin has been rather dry since then, and washing it dried it out more, leaving it painful. I was sure to moisturize after showering, but recently ive been grossed out by a face full of clogged pores. I looked up a natural way to alleviate this problem, and enjoyed giving myself natural steam facials now. I wash my face with a gentle cleanser. Then I pour a kettle of boiling water over rosemary & mint from my garden, some lemon slices, honey, and a few vitamin E oil capsules. I drape a towel over my head/shoulders and the bowl and just hang out for a while. Afterwards, I scrub my face with a buff pad, and apply an egg white mask (spread egg white over face, let dry about 10 min, rinse off, no need to moisturize afterward surprisingly!).

Obviously this steaming is not a daily thing, but my skin looks so much nicer now that it reminds me to take care of it daily instead of just when I have a stray pimple to lament.

I have incorporated more fresh fruits from our local fruit stand.into my diet. They are all bright and vivid!! It’s uplifting to shop there. I have noticed that eating more red grapes, bananas, and green apples ,tangerines, and nectarines gives me natural energy and they are great snacks to munch on between my lunch and breaks!

I’ve started to take Bolthouse Farm’s Green Goodness because I don’t eat enough greens. It is a delicious smoothie and my body feels better. Also I discovered Airborne Formula an immune support supplement with herbs, vitamins and minerals. I take an effervescent tablet every other day and while everyone has been getting sick around me I have remained healthy over past few months!

I generally lead an active and healthy lifestyle but over the past year I’ve recognized that my unresolved issues are holding me back from long-lasting happiness. Therefore, I’ve found a professional to talk with on a regular basis to help me see things in a different way.
