Who wouldn’t want to learn how to be a real-life magician? This post is about manifesting desires, including a couple of video clips and a personal story as a recent example!
First things first: being a 21st century magician (i.e. co-creating with the Universe) is really fun! We blogged about these natural powers to create your reality in our interview with author of How to Thrive in Changing Times (book review), Sandra Ingerman. And I just experienced it recently!
If you’re not sure what I mean by `21st century magician,’ `manifesting desires’ or `creating your reality,’ it hit mainstream within the last few years with The Secret movie – you may recognize it as the Law of Attraction. Here’s the trailer for those of you who haven’t seen the movie yet (see above).
Every week for almost a year now, Emmanuel Lopez (a.k.a. Motivatorman) and I have an MMM (no, not M&Ms, a Master Mind Meeting) to discuss triumphs, challenges and generally support one another in whatever life area we need it the most (professional, spiritual, emotional, etc) at that time.
These MMM’s have been a great source of inspiration, enlightenment and motivation for me, and the feeling of helping another person is deeply rewarding. (Thank you, Emmanuel!) I highly recommend that everyone find someone who they can connect with on multiple levels (Emmanuel calls them `soul buddies’) and make it a habit to spend at least an hour with them each week.
We spoke earlier today and when I told him the story leading up to my first hypnotherapy session this Thursday (I mentioned it here in Yo Yo Healthy Living: Part 2), he pointed out that it was a great example of manifesting desires.
By the way, Emmanuel’s a Master at Law of Attraction. He blogs about his real-life personal examples and created a video about it:
In early March of this year, when it was clear that I wouldn’t be making my stop smoking date of March 1st, I put it out to the Universe that I wanted to try hypnotherapy. I hadn’t the money at the time, done any research or have any idea how it was going to happen.
Over March I was super busy, had a mini-crisis in several areas of my life and took a step back from everything. During April and May, I had a great consultation with Sari Gabbay at True Prosperity, did daily affirmations, watched lots of inspiring movies (some of them recommended to me by Motivatorman!) and made a few life-changing decisions that have already created a better reality for me.
Then a few weeks ago I saw an ad in the paper for Positive Changes, offering free consultations and half off their regular prices until May 31st. Even though any extra money I have is going to debt repayment, I felt it couldn’t hurt to do some research and book a consultation.
Two days before my consultation, I was telling my Mom about trying out hypnotherapy. I was surprised when she offered to buy the package for my birthday present! Whoo Hoo! I went to the consultation with the means to invest in it, if it all still seemed like a good fit.
Everything covered in the Positive Changes’ consultation felt right. Plus, there were too many fun synchronicities to ignore! (More on those in the future.) So that’s how I made magic. I think it happened mainly because I wasn’t worried about how I was going to attain hypnotherapy and by listening to my intuition before taking action.
What do you think, Readers, do you believe you have the power to create your reality?
