If you’ve been keeping up with Live Lighter, you’ll know that I’ve been falling back into my old habits and addictions . I’m curious as to why I fell off the wagon, and explored one possibility in The Cure to Indecision . In that post, I speculated that it was because I lost my vision.
I’ve since reviewed that vision and it’s given me the strength to make a decision. I am convinced that health is the key to happiness , so on September 1st , I will once again walk my talk. I will reaffirm my decision to lead a healthy lifestyle – starting with a smoke-free existence (my ultimate nemesis)!
But old habits are comforting and change is frightening. I need a solid plan of attack in order to prepare for the lifestyle changes. This plan requires good research to be well-informed so that I can customize my health plan for my individual life.
And though this isn’t the first time I’ve created a health plan , my life is different now. I need new and updated information, different tricks and alternative methods to get back on the wagon. By the way, this is the next post topic!
I’ve been psyching myself up (literally) for the big day with Tony Robbins (and his 6 basic human needs) and by reading a book called The Thirst for Wholeness by Christina Grof. The next step is to find practical tips to try out so that I can properly prepare for the upcoming changes in my lifestyle.
This is where I found “101 Painless Ways to Detoxify your Body, Mind, and Soul ” by NursingDegree.net most helpful. The sheer volume of this holistic reference list alone is worth the del-icio-us bookmark!
This comprehensive resource list is organized in 10 different sections:
- Breaking bad habits
- Detox diets
- Feng Shui
- How-to detox guides
- Everyday tips
- Eliminating chemicals & toxins
- Easy & natural detoxification
- Promoting energy, productivity & calm
- Exercise tips
- Cleansing & general detox tips
The sources are respectable and authoritative. Such as the Colon Cleansing article by Dr. Natura, the global leader in cleansing and detoxification; now I don’t know about that… but the article I read was sound and jived to the extent of my knowledge on the subject.
This extensive collection of holistic detox articles offers you, in one blog post, everything you need to know about cleansing and detoxing of the body, mind and soul. My only complaint is that I don’t have enough time to read it all even in 3 sittings!
The bonus is that the variety and breadth of this detox article list allows us to pick and choose any techniques we want to try out in our own personal health plans. And if something doesn’t work out, there’s another 90 ways to try out!
