7 Step Process to Healthy Living

Getting healthy and finding a healthy lifestyle that works for you can be difficult. It took me several attempts over a period of several years to get a good beat on my health. Looking back, I can see that there was a definite process in getting healthy, and it continues to this day for in my ever-evolving healthy lifestyle.

To help you make healthy living easier, and for those who appreciate seeing the whole puzzle picture before trying to fit the individual pieces together, I thought I’d share the following process to getting healthy:

  1. Recognize the value in being healthy
  2. Decide that’s what you want
  3. Gather health knowledge (like the Live Lighter blog :))
  4. Devise a health plan
  5. Try it out
  6. Success! OR… not so much.
  7. If not so much, simply repeat step 4 & 5 until you reach 6!

Probably the most important part of this 7 step process to getting and staying healthy is #1. When you believe that being healthy will give you the energy and vitality to really enjoy your life fully, then the rest is simply an interesting and challenging journey towards that destination.

I remember a time when I was unhealthy and realized I had to do something about it. But it was scary and I didn’t really know where to start or how.

Hopefully this 7 step process will take some of the fear out of it for others.
